Nothing was really grabbing my attention today... photography-wise anyway.

And by the time trick-or-treating and costumes came around, I discovered that

BOTH of my camera batteries were in need of a nice, long charge.

Pretty standard.

Before the camera batteries died out on me though,

Augustus was ready and willing to be a little model for me.

With his little iv catheter shaved legs, hunting for photo opportunities at Smythe Park.

So, all in all, a pretty uneventful trip to Smythe Park... 

at least I can always count on Augustus to be camera-ready.

The day's automatically lovelier when Lucy volunteers to walk Augustus.

Auggie loves a playmate close to his size.

daniel island's pier. documented.

In an attempt to get back to my posts, Augustus and I went 

for a Sunday stroll with the camera and wound up here.

Our pier.

Daniel Island sea turtles are of enormous size.
But nothing phases Augustus.

Officially a water-loving spaniel.

Waiting in great anticipation to go to the other end.

There was a guy meditating at the end of the dock,
so we quickly turned back around.
A girl with a camera and a dog equals annoying.

I think the meditating man came from this boat.

And this is why  my dad says DI is "basically a swamp."
At least I live in a pretty swamp.

leaves are changing to golds and crimsons.

kids are discussing Halloween costumes.

crunchy, tart apples from the orchard.

pumpkin patches dotted with orange spheres and

square straw bales.

golden sunsets with crisp air.

sweaters, scarves, hot cider, peppermint sticks.

porches with lit hurricane lanterns.

He's a bolter, so the leash stays on... I think Augustus
felt especially grown-up without his leash.

He's been working on this bully stick nonstop.
